Both Kent and Surrey had teams of players who were hoping to secure places in
their respective John's teams - this was a very close match some large scores
from both sides with Kent just managing to secure the match with an 11 shot
difference. |

Loss to Kent 105 - 118 - The match was played at
Borstal BC despite torrential rain in the morning the afternoon proved to be
dry although a little bit windy at times. At 15 ends Kent were in front
by 7 shots, but failed on a couple of rinks to keep Kent in the lead, finally
losing by 13 shots. |

Kent teams securing a win against the Middlesex teams. |

Kent v Suffolk played at Halls BC on a very warm
and sunny afternoon, Kent finally managed to secure a win 127 - 97 - all
rinks played well although some of the players felt that a couple of the
rinks were rather tricky and a challenge at times. |

Kent lost their match against Sussex by 31
shots; Kent 107 - Sussex 138. The match was played at Hythe Bowls Club
on a warm afternoon, Kent players included Judith Cullen and Debbie Cook both
ladies for one reason or another had not taken part in the Friendly Matches
for a while, both played well, icing on the cake for
Debbie was to be on the top winning rink. |

Loss to Kent 97 - 143 - Liberty of Havering Essex was the venue,
despite a very good start and at ten ends with both sides 54 - 54, it was
then a downhill slope all the way to the finish resulting in a very good win
for the Essex ladies. |

sides, and on the 20th end it looked as if Kent would secure a win, but not
